Riyu began with an immigrant family from India based in the greater Los Angeles area. The brand was shaped by their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. It’s a story of resilience and determination.

The inception of the idea for Riyu came from Riya Mital. She drew inspiration from both her own personal experiences as well as the experiences of her family. She didn’t just want another fitness brand. She wanted a brand that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. That brand became Riyu.

Here at Riyu, we value and understand the diverse backgrounds and needs of individuals. Our goal is to create a brand that prioritizes you, our customers, and puts you at the forefront. Even the name Riyu is a combination of "Riya" and "You.”
